A classroom worker overheard that the staff would be dressing as chicken characters from a kids' story for Halloween. Wanting to be a team player, they bought a full chicken suit without asking anyone for details. 🐔
When a coworker asked about their costume, the person's 'chicken' answer got a long, awkward pause. Mortified, they later blurted out that their mom would be a duck — which only made things weirder.
Today they arrived in full feathered gear, only to spot two coworkers walking in wearing simple t-shirts and headbands that matched the story illustrations. Now they're hiding the chicken suit under a brown corduroy dress, planning to call themselves a chicken nugget.
Has anyone else ever shown up way overdressed for a group costume?
